Okuda Yuta Cat Garden

2025.4.4 [Fri] - 4.20 [Sun]

This exhibition, titled Cat Garden, will be comprised of Okuda Yuta’s first works centered around cats.
Come and see the unique depictions of cats using colorful, bold paints that make use of chance and delicately drawn lines.

The cat works in this exhibition were inspired by “beautiful foodchain,” another of Okuda Yuta’s series, and depict a garden of cats, which the artist has long loved. The exhibition is a simple expression of the artist’s joy at being constantly at the mercy of free-spirited, uninhibited, and moody cats. It is my hope you will enjoy seeing these cats surrounded by flowers to your heart’s content.

Okuda Yuta

Born in Aichi, Japan in 1987. After studying fashion design in Japan and England and working as a designer for a fashion brand, Okuda became an artist in 2016 and has been actively participating in solo and group exhibitions in Japan, building a career through production and presentation.
After becoming an artist, Okuda created miniature paintings composed only of calculated lines, but in the past few years, he has been focusing on flowers with an emphasis on randomness.
Okuda’s paintings, which combine paint and colors emphasized by intense strokes coupled with delicate lines drawn with a pen, are immediately captivating to the viewer.
