  • Visitors may be asked to present their belongings for security inspection.
  • Please make a note of the following activities in the galleries.
    • No potentially harmful substances and implements.
    • No raw and perishable items including real flowers.
    • No large luggages such as suitcases, umbrellas, tripods, and monopods.
    • No pets (all guide dogs, hearing assistance dogs, and other service dogs for those in need are welcome).
    • No visitors under the influence of alcohol.
    • No smoking as well as any consumption of food or drinks (including all candies and chewing gums).
    • Please respect the rights of other visitors.
  • Please comply with all the other rules and regulations applicable to all visitors.
  • Please note there may be cases where our staff will be wearing a mask, and visitors may be requested to wear masks for operational reasons.

Mori Art Museum / Mori Arts Center Gallery

  • Lighting level, temperature and relative humidity are controlled in all galleries for the conservation of artworks.
    It would be well-advised to bring a jacket or a pull-over of the sort upon visiting in case you might feel cold in the galleries.
  • Please make a note of the following activities in the galleries.
    • No touching of the artworks and cases on display.
    • No using of mobile phones for phone calls in the exhibition areas.
    • No unauthorized photo shooting and video filming.
    • The use of pencil is permitted, however, other writing materials may not be used.
  • Please comply with all the other rules and regulations applicable to Museum visitors.

  • The Mori Art Museum is open every day during exhibitions, and closed to the public when there are no exhibitions.
  • Tokyo City View is open every day throughout the year, however may be partially closed, or entry to certain areas restricted, due to exhibitions and events and/or their preparation.
  • The Mori Arts Center Gallery opening days/hours depend on exhibitions and closed to the public when there are no exhibitions.
  • Facilities may be closed to the public during special events.
Q: Are the facilities open during the New Year holidays?
A: Yes. All facilities will be open as usual except during exhibition changeovers, event preparation periods, or on special closing days. Please note that there may be changes, so for the latest information, please refer to the “Hours” section under “Visit Us.”

Q: Are the facilities crowded? Do I have to wait in line?
A: Crowd levels and waiting times may vary depending on the operating status of the facilities, as well as the content of exhibitions and events. You may call the number below and the staff will inform you of the estimated waiting time.

Q: Where can I buy tickets?
A: Tickets are available on our official online ticket website as well as through various other online platforms. Tickets can also be purchased at the counter or ticket vending machines located at the Museum / Observation Deck Tickets & Information Counter on the 3rd floor of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower on the day of your visit. Please note that same-day tickets may not be available if time slots are fully booked.

Q: Are tickets available online? How can I buy one?

Q: Can I purchase tickets in advance?
A: Yes, advance tickets are available on our official online ticket website, as well as through various other online platforms. Please note that ticket sales methods and periods may vary depending on the exhibition or event. In some cases, advance tickets may not be available. Please refer to the “Admission & Tickets” section under “Visit Us” for details.
Q: Are there discounts for the disabled?
A: The disabled along with one accompanied companion/caregiver will be entitled to free admission to Mori Art Museum and Tokyo City View Indoor Observation Deck upon presenting a Disabled Person’s Handbook or equivalent form of government-issued identification. See notes under “Admission & Tix” section on the “Visit Us” page.

Q: Are vocational school students eligible for the student admission?
A: Yes, vocational school students are eligible. Please present a valid student ID upon entry.
Q: Is there a passport that allows unlimited access to the facilities?
A: The Mori Art Museum’s “MAMC, Mori Art Museum Membership Program” and the Tokyo City View’s “Tokyo City View Passport” are advantageous services with special benefits that allow unlimited admission into the facilities during the period of validity. Please see the respective websites for details.

Q: Can I use credit cards / e-money?
A: Credit cards can be used for purchases on the ticket vending machines and at “Museum & Observatory Tickets / Information” (3F, Roppongi Hills Mori Tower), Museum Shops, and Museum Cafe & Restaurant. E-money can also be used at the ticket counter and Museum Shop (exclude some of the special shops) as well. Only credit cards however are accepted on the dedicated booking website.

  • Yes. The Mori Art Museum and Tokyo City View accept reservations for groups of 15 or more from three months in advance until 20:00 on the day before the stated arrival date.

Q: Are there any group admission discounts?
A: A group admission rate applies to a parties of 15 or more persons only when the booking is made in advance. See the “Group Visit” section under “Visit Us” for details.

A: No, there is no parking area for buses inside Roppongi Hills. Please see the “Group Visit” section under “Visit Us” for pickup point for tour buses.

Q: Can I use Tour Guide System communication devices at the facility?

Q: Are there any discounts on parking?
A: When purchasing tickets of museum, Tokyo City View, please show your parking ticket at the ticket counter (“Museum & Observatory Tickets / Information,” 3F, Roppongi Hills Mori Tower). 1 point per 1,000 yen will be added. Parking fee will be reduced from 5 points.

Q: How do I get there from JR Tokyo Station?
A: From JR Tokyo Station take the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line to Ginza Station, or the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line to Roppongi Station. Use Exit 1C for direct access from the station concourse.
Or take the JR Yamanote Line (or Keihin-Tohoku Line) from Tokyo Station to Yurakucho Station, then the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line to Roppongi Station. Use Exit 1C for direct access from the station.

Q: How do I get there from Haneda Airport?
A: Take the Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho Station and transfer to the Toei Oedo Line (Daimon Station) to Roppongi Station, then walk four minutes from Exit 3.
Q: Where is the entrance to the facilities?
A: Entry is via the Museum Cone. Please proceed through the Museum Cone to the "Museum & Observatory Tickets Information" located on the 3F of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. Take one of the elevators going directly to the 52F. Please use the escalator from 52F to the Mori Art Museum (53F).

A: Our facilities are all strictly non-smoking, however, there are some designated smoking areas inside Roppongi Hills.

A: Lockers for visitors are available on the 52nd floor. There is no cloakroom.

Q: Will the facility shake severely during an earthquake?
A: The Roppongi Hills Mori Tower employs a state-of-the-art vibration damping system that reduces shaking in the event of quakes or swaying due to wind.
Q: Are there water stations available?
A: We have set up a free water station in the corridor on the 52nd floor. Please use your own bottle.

A: Yes. “MORI ART MUSEUM Wi-Fi” is available free of charge. Please select “MORI_ART_MUSEUM_Wi-Fi” on your device, and by agreeing to the terms of use displayed, you can use the Wi-Fi. It is available on the 52nd and 53rd floors.
Q: Can I charge my mobile phone?
A: Yes, portable chargers are available for rent at the information desk on the 52nd floor (Roppongi Hills Mori Tower) for a fee.

Mori Art Museum

A: The environment differs in each exhibition. Unfortunately we cannot alter the lighting level as this is controlled in all galleries for the conservation of artworks.
Q: Can I learn more about the artworks on display?
A: Gallery talks are held for each exhibition (free of charge, exhibition ticket required). Please check the Mori Art Museum’s “Learning” page for details. Additionally, audio guides (available for a fee) may be offered for some exhibitions. Please refer to the exhibition page for more information.
Q: Is foreign-language information on the artworks available?
A: All material - including pamphlets, brochures, signage, and publications - concerning the Mori Art Museum is available in both Japanese and English. This includes the Audio Guide provided for exhibitions. Japanese-English simultaneous interpretation is available at some of the learning programs such as lectures and symposia.
Q: Are there any programs for children?
A: Children are welcome to join in the Family Programs at the Mori Art Museum. Please check the Mori Art Museum’s “Learning” page for details. When visiting the Museum, please hold hands for children’s safety - to keep them from falling, or touching or bumping the artworks.
Q: Are there any programs for the disabled?
A: For some programs, we offer sign language interpretation on request.
Sign Language Tours and Verbal Imaging Tours (Access Programs) are usually organized for each exhibition.

Q: Does the Mori Art Museum have its own collection?
A: The Mori Art Museum has been building its own collection - of contemporary artworks primarily from Japan and the Asia-Pacific region since the summer of 2005.

Q: Is the Mori Art Museum’s permanent collection available for viewing?
A: The Collection is not on permanent display, however since 2015 we have been running a MAM Collection (exhibition program) series featuring particular works from the Collection in the context of various themes. The MAM Collection program series usually runs concurrently with another main exhibition, so just like other exhibitions, the series runs only for a particular (temporary) length of time.

Tokyo City View

Q: May I take photographs using tripods, monopods, or selfie sticks?
A: Yes, however, we may ask you to refrain from using camera stands
  • when the area is crowded (such as during a fireworks festival or a similar event), or when a large crowd is expected,
  • when we are holding a special event on the 52nd floor,
  • when taking pictures will create problems for other visitors (e.g. long photo sessions, blocking the area, interrupting the flow of people, using large equipment, hidden cameras, etc.),
  • when the activity is for business purposes; when you are taking photographs of group activities for a purpose other than pleasure, or when we otherwise ask you not to use a camera stand. (Photo-shoot activities for these purposes require our permission in advance. Please contact us for details.)
  • We may also ask you to refrain from using a camera stand when it might generally endanger safety within our facility.

Notice:Starting Friday, June 20, 2025, the use of tripods and monopods will be prohibited in the facility in order to allow as many visitors as possible to enjoy the view.
