130 years of incense tradition from Kunjudo @ Mori Art Museum Shop
2025.3.28 [Fri]
The Mori Art Museum Shop is currently featuring incense from Kunjudo, a company with 130 years of history making incense on Awaji Island, the birthplace of incense in Japan.
Utilizing long-practiced skills, Kunjudo creates a new incense that fits into modern life.
In addition to the more traditional stick incense, they offer new styles of incense made from washi paper and string. Washi incense can be lit and burned as usual, or it can simply be set out without being lit to provide a gentle fragrance. If you slip it into a letter or book, a faint fragrance will greet you every time you open it. You can also add string incense to gifts as an accent in wrapping or enjoy it as you might a delicate perfume by incorporating it into accessories.
We recommend trying a variety of incense choices to find the best fit for your lifestyle.
