The MAMUANG MINI POP-UP, now open at the MORI ART MUSEUM SHOP, features Mamuang - the popular character created by Wisut Ponnimit (known as “Tam-kun”), a Thai manga artist and creator who enjoys a strong following in Japan.
A wide array of highly popular Mamuang merchandise is available for purchase, including the Mori Art Museum Shop-exclusive version of the Mamuang mascot, the soft vinyl figure collection in shop-exclusive colors, and a new knit tote bag created in collaboration with Amimono☆Horinouchi !

Wisut Ponnimit
Ponnimit is a manga artist based in artist from Thailand, and is nicknamed “Tam-kun.” He made his debut as a manga artist in 1998, and from 2003 to 2006, he stayed in Kobe, Japan, where he gained popularity with his unique style that blends Japanese and Thai cultures. In 2009, he won the Encouragement Award in the Manga Division of the Japan Media Arts Festival. Currently based in Bangkok, he works not only in manga but also in animation and music production.
