Inoue Yuki MASKING / INNOCENCE

Inoue Yuki is a contemporary artist who creates sculptures and other works using salamanders as a main motif. His unique style, which combines traditional Japanese culture and folklore with new materials and uses evolution as its fundamental theme, has attracted attention both in Japan and overseas. This exhibition will feature works from the MASK series, which Inoue launched this year.

Inoue Yuki

Born in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1972. Graduated from Tama Art University with a major in sculpture. Since his first solo exhibition in 2003, Inoue has been creating works based on the salamander theme, and has been active mainly in solo exhibitions at art galleries and department stores, both inside and outside of Japan. In 2024, in addition to the Salamander series, the new MASK series was launched. In recent years, Inoue has expanded into collaborative product design with apparel brands, as well as the design of art-related goods.
