Unique Reusable Tote Bags from Yasura Takeshi’s Compost House are now on sale at Mori Art Museum Shop 53!
2025.4.8 [Tue]
This unique reusable tote bag was created as part of the Organic Material Circulation Project’s (*) collaborative work, Compost House by artist Yasura Takeshi and Professor Oyama Shuichi of the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature. The tote bag is printed with text about composting and illustrations of soil organisms. Yasura's words, "I was inspired by Professor Oyama and had fun making it." left a lasting impression. Everything from the selection of the reusable bag to the silkscreen printing is carefully done by hand, and no two designs are the same.
The Mori Art Museum Shop sells reusable tote bags and T-shirts with a “SOIL” theme.
* Centered around Kyoto, The group works to create a circular society and solve social problems through greening, environmental restoration, and organic agricultural production using urban food waste in Japan as well as in five African countries.
