Inoue Yuki “salaMandala / PARADOX”

Showcasing Artworks with Salamanders as the Primary Motif

2020.6.26 [Fri] - 7.19 [Sun]

Inoue Yuki is a contemporary artist who produces formative works and sculptures using salamanders as the primary motif. With the core theme of “evolution,” Inoue overlays Japanese tradition and practices over new materials to create his own unique style which has gained significant attention both inside and outside of Japan. In this exhibition, around 20 of his artworks are to be showcased.

Humanity has continued to evolve in search of a richer life, and can no longer live without the benefits of technology. As a result, environmental problems caused by global warming are worsening in recent years… but ironically, the pandemic caused by the new virus has caused our air pollution to improve.
Which comes first, the chicken or the egg?
The true value of our evolving future is continually being tested.
