Namonaki Sanemasa, Nakakaze Shinji, and Horie Takumi, three inspired artists who feature characters that express contemporary pop culture and inner self themes.
Namonaki Sanemasa creates paintings based on the physical sensations he experiences when being stimulated by anime, games, and when obtaining new information from internet using digital devices. Nakakaze Shinji starts with characters born as doodles on canvas and layers these with multiple lines to give them concrete form. Horie Takumi creates characters from manga and anime inspirations that fascinate him and attempts to fuse the ceramic and the character together.
This exciting and relatable exhibition will introduce the unique approaches of these three artists under the theme of Rough & Pop.
