Tanaka Makiko Black Hawaii / Hawaï Noire

This exhibition celebrates the publication of Tanaka Makiko’s artistic collection in print, Black Hawaii.
At this exhibition, Tanaka presents original drawings from her book of poetry and paintings entitled Black Hawaii, which was inspired by the nighttime beaches that she personally visited in Hawaii. The exhibition also showcases her new oil paintings on the same theme.
The Black Hawaii will be on sale at the venue, before the sales at the general book store.

Tanaka Makiko

Born in Tokyo, Japan. Currently living in Cachan, a suburb of Paris, France.
She mainly creates watercolor and oil works, but also does short animation and illustrated works for clients such as Shiseido, Pierre Hermé Paris, Tasaki and others. She is the author of La Collection Gastronomieque and VuVu (published by HeHe).
